Buffalo Solar is a growing commercial solar EPC specializing in commercial rooftop solar and battery storage projects throughout New York.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction leadership.
Position Summary
This is an entry-level leadership position designed to develop the next generation of Construction Superintendents.
You'll work directly with our Construction Supervisor learning every aspect of commercial project execution—from site setup and material coordination to quality control, subcontractor management, scheduling, and customer communication.
As your experience grows, you'll begin independently overseeing projects while receiving continued mentorship from our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, stage, and secure project materials before construction begins.
- Verify all materials, equipment, and tools are ready before crews arrive.
- Coordinate daily activities with subcontractor crews.
- Help keep projects on schedule.
- Monitor workmanship and assist with quality control.
- Identify and help correct field deficiencies.
- Promote safe work practices and lead by example.
- Protect customer property and project materials.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and construction plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management to resolve field issues.
- Develop the skills necessary to independently supervise commercial construction projects.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial electrical construction experience.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and construction plans.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to grow into a Construction Superintendent role.
- Commercial solar experience is a plus but not required.
