The Phlebotomist is responsible for the routine collection and processing of blood specimens while maintaining accurate records and laboratory standards. They must interact effectively with patients and staff while adhering to safety, HIPAA, and facility-specific policies.
The role requires the ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and handle specimen processing in a clinical environment. While previous experience is preferred, it is not strictly required, though candidates must be able to meet physical demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods.

Technical Laboratory staff analyze patient testing that helps physicians to diagnose and treat diseases. This position is an Essential position at the facility to ensure efficient operations and patient care. Employees hired into an Essential position are expected to report to work for their scheduled shifts regardless of the environmental weather and road conditions that may exist.

Working Conditions:
Patients need round-the-clock care; therefore working hours include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Clinical / Technical laboratory staff spends a considerable amount of time walking, bending, stretching and standing; therefore, they must follow proper body mechanics to guard against injury. Clinical / Technical laboratory staff must be able to work accurately around frequent interruptions. Lab staff frequently faces hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases and must be prepared for such instances and take proper precautions at all times. In addition, lab staff may have to collect blood samples from patients that may be confused, irrational, agitated, and/or uncooperative.
