The incumbent conducts laboratory experiments and assays within defined guidelines while maintaining equipment and documentation. They are responsible for collecting, evaluating, and summarizing research data and may provide guidance to junior technicians.
A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or a Master's degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biophysics, or a related field is required. Proven ability in biochemical assays and protein characterization is essential, with enzyme kinetics experience being a plus.

Job Overview:
Functioning somewhat independently, incumbent assists with and conducts laboratory experiments on research
projects within well-defined guidelines; keeps abreast of current publications relative to methods, techniques, and
developments within area of research; collects, prepares, evaluates results of (or response to) process; summarizes
data; may provide supervision and guidance to junior level technicians.
Responsibilities:
• Operates laboratory equipment; contributes to laboratory maintenance.
• Performs a variety of assays, tests, and studies of a routine nature.
• Performs calculations to complete research test results; collates data; performs statistical analysis of lab results
and maintain notes and log or computer database; performs basic procedures for computer assisted data
analysis.
• Prepares stock chemical solutions, offers solutions.
• Participates in training sessions and workshops.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree of 2 years’ experience, or master’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biophysics, or a related field is required
