The Admissions Specialist manages the registration and admission of patients into the facility while maintaining communication with referrals and families. They are responsible for screening prospective admissions against criteria and coordinating transportation and documentation.
A college degree and two years of experience in healthcare admissions, specifically in mental health or substance abuse, are preferred. Required certifications include CPR and de-escalation/restraint training.
