Support the bar team by keeping the area stocked, organized, and clean to ensure efficient customer service. Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, and maintain service standards for food and drinks.

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a positive, flexible attitude. A basic understanding of restaurant operations and the ability to learn quickly are required.

Castell Rooftop Lounge 
260 W 40th Street, New York, NY 10018

As a Barback, it will be your mission to support the bar team in a speedy, professional, and effective manner to ensure they have everything they need to serve customers. In addition, as a member of the service team, you help ensure that food, drinks, and service consistently follow Castell's standards.

What we're looking for:

  • Understands restaurant operations and service
  • Keep the bar stocked, organized, neat and clean 
  • Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, restock supplies 
  • A positive attitude; you tackle every task with a smile
  • Team player; you have your team's back, and they have yours
  • The ability to learn quickly
  • A good sense of humor
  • The ability to be flexible
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Who is Castell Rooftop Lounge?

Evocative of the 1960s, with a bit of a Mad Men vibe, Castell’s beverage menu celebrates the iconic Martini and its various incarnations. Creative cocktails are based on the classic drinks of yore, served up with a twist of trend. A selection of reimagined tapas complements the dynamic list of mixed drinks, beer, wine and non-alcoholic spirits.
