The Certified Surgical Technologist facilitates operative procedures by preparing and providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for the surgical team. They also assist with the cleaning of the operating room and perform surgical skin preparation as required.
Candidates must hold an associate degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in surgical technology and possess a relevant certification such as CST or NCCT. At least one year of perioperative or related surgical technology experience is preferred.
