We’re a patient-centered dental practice in Brooklyn looking for a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to help us deliver exceptional care. If you're passionate about dentistry, love working closely with patients, and thrive in a collaborative environment—this opportunity is for you.
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring a smooth, safe, and comfortable experience for every patient. From preparing treatment rooms and assisting with procedures to maintaining sterilization protocols and providing post-treatment guidance, your work will make a meaningful difference each day. You’ll support our dentists and hygienists chair-side and contribute to both clinical and administrative operations.
What You'll Do:
Prepare patients and treatment rooms with care and professionalism
Assist during procedures with suction, retraction, and dental material prep
Record accurate patient data, vitals, and treatment details
Capture digital X-rays and ensure proper infection control protocols
Provide post-op instructions and help patients feel informed and supported
Support lab tasks and keep sterilization logs up to date
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program
Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
Computer literate and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is a plus
A positive, team-first attitude and commitment to patient care

Our goal was, and still is, to provide services regardless of the ability to pay, immigration status, or health insurance coverage.
Our Impact: Today, BMS is dedicated to the cultural, economic, medical, and educational well-being of everyone in our community. We continue to advocate for increased healthcare access and inspire overall well-being throughout Brooklyn.
Our Founder: Joseph Francois, former CEO of BCDC and founding Executive Director of BMS, was a passionate advocate for Brownsville, Ocean Hill, and East New York. His leadership shaped BMS into a vital social change agent. In his honor, we have named one of our service sites the “BMS Life & Wellness Center: The Joseph K. Francois Pavilion.”
