Job Description

BME Fire Trucks is seeking skilled welders/fabricators with experience. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Be a part of something that makes a difference in saving lives, homes, and our amazing recreational areas. As a Welder, you will be responsible for: 

· Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck

· Welding aluminum materials into structural shapes

· Reading blueprints

· Welding a visually aesthetic product

· Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the build

Requirements

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

· Mig welding experience on aluminum

· Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts. 

· Great attitude and high expectations for the quality of your work. (Our trucks are used in life or death situations and are expected to perform). 

· Physically fit – ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders. 

· A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

· Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure

· Excellent diagnostic skills

· Ability to use plasma torch

· Experience with hand and power tools
