The Opportunity

Metalcorp is looking for a Customer and Sales Support Specialist (Rural Products) (the position internally is known as Customer Service Officer) to join the Sales Team, based in Toowoomba. Metalcorp is a steel and aluminium distributor also specialising in rural products. It is the rural brand for the land with branches in regional locations and is trusted by customers for the quality of its products and the service of its people. The tailored product range includes specialised livestock handling equipment, building materials, structural and tubular steel, fencing, roofing, aluminium and more.

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be one of the faces of Metalcorp for our customers, ensuring exceptional service in each interaction. Working within a friendly and inclusive team you will be a key contact for sales and service enquiries. Your can-do attitude will be on full display as you take new orders and quotations, providing product and pricing advice and manage a variety of day-to-day enquiries.

What Will You Do?

As part of our sales team, you will: 

• interact with our customers over the phone and email managing quotes and queries
• follow-up on quotations and inquiries converting these into sales opportunities
• nurture and grow business relationships with customers
• continuously look at new ways of improving the customer experience
• assist with stock control and presentation of the retail space 

More About You

With a strong customer focus and willingness to grow and develop yourself in the role you will bring:

• experience working in a customer service/sales environment
• high attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• confidence to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
• a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
• basic knowledge with Microsoft office and a willingness to undergo relevant training
