Assist electronic systems and fire life safety technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of low voltage electrical systems. Perform tasks such as wire pulling, conduit installation, and system testing while adhering to safety and electrical codes.
Must be currently enrolled in a California approved electronic systems technician apprentice program. Requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 50 lbs and working from ladders or lifts.
Assist the electronic systems technicians, fire life safety technicians and/or certified electricians during the installation of new electrical low voltage systems and the repair and maintenance of existing low voltage electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes. They assist electronic systems technicians, fire life safety technicians and certified electricians in the above activities at commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.
