The Purchasing Agent is responsible for negotiating and managing subcontractor and vendor contracts while maintaining material bids and project budgets. They also prepare purchase orders, cost sheets, and monitor project blueprints to ensure accurate job starts.
A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role, along with general knowledge of the construction industry. Candidates must be proficient in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
