Co-lead project-based film production courses for youth ages 11-18, providing mentorship and instructional guidance. Manage the full production process from conception to completion while maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and anti-racist learning environment.
Requires 1-3 years of experience in youth-based facilitation or teaching and proficiency in media/film production equipment. Candidates should be detail-oriented project managers with a commitment to inclusive values and a preference for Adobe Premiere Pro skills.

Location: This position is in-person at the BAYCAT office, where we hold afterschool youth programming Monday-Thursday.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Associate Director of Programs, the Media Teaching Artist role is responsible for co-leading project-based film production courses for youth ages 11 - 18 in Fall 2026. We’re seeking a creative, consistent, and resourceful media producer and educator.
📽️ What we do:
The Media Teaching Artist will provide mentorship in media production in the afterschool youth program; curriculum development & ideation; and youth project management, collaboration, & team building.
