Provide pharmaceutical care and support antimicrobial stewardship for patients in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include optimizing medication therapies, verifying orders, and managing pharmacy inventory.
Requires a BS in Pharmacy and Indiana Pharmacist Registration, with a PharmD and ASHP-accredited residency preferred. Board certification in pharmacotherapy or Emergency Medicine and ACLS certification are also desired.
Baptist Health Pharmacy services are committed to ensuring the optimal safe and effective use of medications for all patients through advanced technology and innovative application of skilled personnel that will improve clinical outcomes and community health in a value-based environment.
Provide pharmaceutical care to support antimicrobial stewardship for Baptist Health Floyd patients in the Emergency Department including optimizing medication therapies
Drug preparation and distribution for medications at Baptist Health Floyd
Evaluate, input, and verify new medication orders
Assist providers and other healthcare professions by serving as a drug information resource
Manage Pharmacy inventory
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a minimum of a BS in Pharmacy with a PharmD (Preferred)
Indiana Pharmacist Registration
Hospital experience and completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency (Preferred)
Board certification in pharmacotherapy, Emergency Medicine or equivalent (preferred)
ACLS Certification (Will Provide)
