The Paramedic assists nursing and physician staff with BLS interventions and emergency care within the emergency department. They are responsible for following hospital protocols and policies approved by the medical director.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma and a valid Florida Paramedic license. Required certifications include BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS Provider within 90 days of hire.
The Paramedic is responsible for responding to requests by the nursing staff or physician staff to assist with BLS interventions and to assist with emergency care within the emergency department according to protocols and polices approved by the hospital and emergency department medical director, and hospital policy. This position performs other duties related to the provision of care as assigned after appropriate training.
