The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, hands-on care to help patients maintain their dignity, comfort, and independence. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, performing basic nursing tasks, and ensuring a safe, clean environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or LPN program. A current Washington State certification as a CNA or LPN and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) certification are required.

As our Certified Nursing Assistant, you will help our patients maintain their dignity and physical well-being by providing compassionate, hands-on care so they can achieve their highest level of comfort and independence.
Every day, you will manage the essential aspects of patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and maintaining hygiene. You will be expected to perform basic nursing tasks, including monitoring vital signs, conducting bedside blood glucose testing, and performing specialized respiratory care such as incentive spirometry, oxygen saturation checks, and nebulizer maintenance. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in patient mobility by assisting with ambulation, positioning, and transfers, while also ensuring a clean, safe environment through light housekeeping and laundry duties.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong observational skills to accurately report changes in a patient’s condition, a deep understanding of patient safety protocols, and the physical endurance and empathy required to provide high-quality support in a clinical setting.
NOTE: If you have not just completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) trainingprogram in the last 4 months & received WA Licensure with Department of Health or
worked as a paid Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) in the last 24 months, you must re-train and re-test in order to be eligible to work at Bailey-Boushay House as Certified

Bailey-Boushay House is a residential and outpatient facility for individuals with HIV/AIDS and other life threatening illnesses located in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood. Bailey-Boushay House is part of Virginia Mason Health Systems. Bailey has been serving our community for over 24 years. The House has two major programs: Residential Care and Outpatient Program. Our Outpatient Program serves individuals living with HIV/AIDS who live independently in the community. The program provides medication management via a nurse visit, meals, and social activities to over 250 individuals. Each outpatient is connected to a care manager (social worker) to facilitate housing, medical and insurance issues. Art projects, games, internet access are available on site. Exercise, occupational and physical therapy are available. All of these activities help develop a sense of community and enable clients to have a higher quality of life. All of these services are intended to support and encourage clients to maintain their independence. The program operates from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm 365 days a year. The Residential Care Program provides skilled nursing care in a 24 hour a day residential setting. Most residents need more care than a traditional nursing home can provide, but do not require the level of care provided by a hospital. Volunteers play a vital role in the day to day operating of the facility and offer support, comfort and a listening presence to both clients and residents. Program Assistants volunteer for a consistent four hour shift each week assisting with the front desk, meals, outings and activities coordinated by our Recreational Therapy team. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team! We are also looking for community members with specialties- such as licensed stylists to cut hair on premises. Our volunteers make a difference each day at Bailey-Boushay House.
