Painter

ASC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and applying high-quality industrial coatings to custom awning frames and components. Your work plays a critical role in ensuring every product leaves our facility looking its best and meeting our quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Prepare aluminum awning frames and components for paint application utilizing the Matthews Paint system. 
• Apply paint coatings using professional spray equipment within a paint booth environment.
• Rig and move large awning structures throughout the painting process.
• Mix custom paint colors with the Matthews Paint system. 
• Perform surface preparation, masking, sanding, and other pre-paint activities as needed.
• Inspect painted products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain paint equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Monitor and maintain paint inventory levels.
• Replace paint booth filters and maintain required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all OSHA, HazMat, and company safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in industrial painting, automotive painting, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and reading shop drawings or prints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
• Work is performed in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled manufacturing environments.
• Regular work inside a paint booth and around paint equipment.
