Provide real-time technical support and fault triage to ensure the availability and reliability of rollingstock across the Auckland rail network. Coordinate field technicians to perform rapid diagnosis and repairs to minimize operational impact.
Requires a trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with proven experience in rail, heavy vehicle, or industrial maintenance. Strong diagnostic capabilities and the ability to interpret technical documentation are essential.

The Mobile Fleet Engineer is a frontline technical role focused on keeping trains available, reliable, and in service.
This role provides mobile technical support at key locations across the Auckland rail network, assisting with start-up faults, in-service failures, fault recovery, and return-to-service decisions. The focus is rapid diagnosis, safe rectification where possible, and reducing the operational impact of rollingstock faults.
You will work closely with Maintenance Delivery Managers, Fleet Control, Operations, and frontline technicians to support service delivery.
