Atmen is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our journey as an early stage technology company. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Werkstudent who will act as the human quality layer on top of our automated sales pipeline. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, is passionate about our mission, and can take ownership of their work.

Atmen is a Munich-based RegTech startup revolutionising green certification. Our SaaS platform helps energy-intensive industries (fuels, chemicals, materials) automate compliance and certification - cutting down time by up to 90%.

We replace today's manual, costly, and unpredictable certification processes with continuous, technology-driven verification. Our mission? Making sustainable production simple, scalable, and cost-effective.

Tasks

1. Managing inbound replies from outreach

When prospects respond to automated outreach campaigns, the SDR takes over the conversation and ensures that every reply receives a thoughtful and timely response.

• Read and interpret incoming replies from prospects


• Respond appropriately and continue the conversation where relevant


• Identify whether the prospect fits Atmen’s target customer profile


• Escalate complex technical or regulatory questions to the appropriate team member


• Coordinate and schedule meetings with the relevant Account Executive


• Ensure all conversations and notes are properly recorded in HubSpot

2. Conference outreach and event coordination

Industry conferences are a key source of leads, but outreach through conference platforms is often manual.

• Upload conference attendee lists into outreach tools


• Review automatically enriched leads and remove irrelevant contacts


• Send outreach messages through conference platforms


• Respond manually to incoming messages from conference participants


• Coordinate meeting scheduling with the sales team during events


• Support time-sensitive conference outreach and side-event coordination

3. Lead list quality control

Automated tools generate large lists of potential companies and contacts. The SDR reviews these lists to ensure they match Atmen’s Ideal Customer Profile.

• Review automatically generated lead lists


• Identify and remove companies that do not match Atmen’s target market


• Flag incorrect data or low-quality leads


• Highlight potentially valuable prospects to the sales team


• Maintain high-quality lead lists for outreach campaigns

4. CRM quality and pipeline monitoring

The SDR helps maintain a clean, reliable CRM and ensures that leads and deals move through the pipeline correctly.

• Monitor alerts and tasks generated by HubSpot workflows


• Investigate inactive leads or deals stuck in the pipeline


• Complete missing CRM fields and maintain accurate data


• Move companies and contacts to the correct pipeline stage


• Close or clean up leads that are no longer relevant


• Work closely with RevOps to maintain CRM data quality

5. Sales operations and assistant support

The role may also include operational support tasks for the sales team.

• Proofread sales documents such as Statements of Work


• Double-check numbers and details in proposals or documents


• Prepare meeting briefs and background notes for sales calls


• Organize documents and internal notes


• Support last-minute operational tasks during sales cycles or conferences

Requirements

🏆 Your Profile

We are not looking for deep technical or regulatory expertise. Instead, we are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent reading comprehension, and clear written communication skills.

You may be a fit if you bring:

• Previous experience in sales development, customer support, operations, or administration (internships welcome)


• Strong written communication skills in English


• The ability to read and interpret messages carefully and respond clearly


• A high level of diligence and attention to detail


• The ability to stay calm and organized under time pressure


• A proactive and reliable way of working


• Curiosity and willingness to learn about new industries and topics

🙏 Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot is a plus


• Previous SDR or sales operations experience


• Experience working with CRM systems or outreach tools


• Fluency in German or additional languages


• Experience working in a startup environment


• Interest in energy, sustainability, or climate technology
