The technician is responsible for inspecting, assembling, and testing torque converter components and subassemblies. They must ensure all parts meet quality and performance standards while recording production data.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check and drug screen, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required, and the ability to read and understand English is mandatory.

The Torque Converter Assembly Technician inspects, assembles, and tests torque converter components, subassemblies, and complete assemblies to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
Inspect and qualify torque converter parts using visual and dimensional criteria
Operate measuring instruments and test equipment to verify tolerances and part placement
Identify parts by model type and part number
Assemble subassemblies and component parts into torque converters using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated methods
Operate air tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, and automated equipment
Record production and quality data manually and electronically
Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
Perform basic operator-prescribed maintenance on assigned equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including QS 9000 and ISO 14001 standards
Regularly required to stand for extended periods
Frequent use of hands for handling tools and repetitive grasping
Frequent reaching with hands and arms
Occasional walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
Regular lifting up to 35 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Close vision and color vision required
