Job Summary:


ASC Treatment Group is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to support adults living with severe and persistent mental illness in residential and community-based settings. This role focuses on providing meaningful daily support that promotes client well-being, independence, dignity, and safety while helping individuals work toward greater stability and quality of life.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Care & Supervision: Provide on-site monitoring, care, and supervision to severely mentally ill individuals. Assist and support collaboratively with clients in achieving their individual goals in a safe and effective manner. Support and monitor individuals with self-administration of medications in accordance with physician orders, complete accurate and timely room checks, and maintain a clean and safe living environment in accordance with facility policies.

Ensure compliance with house rules and regulations and provide crisis intervention, following established protocols and guidelines.
Foster a safe and therapeutic environment, promoting a sense of community and inclusion.

Group Activities: Assist with organizing and facilitating recreational, social, and cultural activities and outings.


Support: Provide modeling and guidance for individuals in daily living skills such as personal care, interpersonal relations, domestic skills, utilizing community resources, budgeting, and shopping.


Transportation: Provide transportation for individual and group outings.


Meetings: Participate in staff meetings and training activities, as required.


Other:
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and privacy of individuals' information. Report any unusual situations or problems,concerns to the supervisor without delay. Perform other duties as required.


Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a residential or community-based setting, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work environment will involve a variety of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods of time both indoor and outdoor, and assisting individuals with their personal care tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience providing services to the mentally ill or other populations is preferred.
  • American Sign Language (ASL) or Spanish proficiency is strongly considered but not required.
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable automobile, and good driving history.
  • Be in good health, and be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing duties, as verified by recent health screening & TB tests.
  • Be of good character and have no criminal record, other than minor traffic violations, as verified by fingerprinting and criminal background checks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, personal characteristics of warmth, enthusiasm, sense of humor, responsibility, and respect for others.
