About the Role
We are seeking an experiencedField Technical Managerto lead, strengthen, and continuously improve our quality assurance and quality control programs across Canada. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for establishing best practices, documenting standardized QA/QC processes, training teams, and ensuring consistent execution across all branches.
The ideal candidate combinesdeep technical flooring expertisewithstrong people leadership and thrivesin both field and strategic environments. This role requires regular travel across Canada to support branches, oversee implementation, coach teams, and drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company-wide installation processes
Establish best practices for industrial and commercial flooring systems and ensure consistent application across all branches
Create, maintain, and continuously improve the crew's knowledge, standards, and technical guidelines
Train, mentor, and support field teams, supervisors, and managers to ensure adherence to standards
Conduct site visits, audits, and technical assessments across Canada
Work closely with operations, project managers, and field crews to proactively identify and resolve quality issues
Act as a technical authority for flooring systems, installations, and failure analysis
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and workmanship
Support new products, systems, and technologies through evaluation, testing, and team training
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on field experiencein industrial and commercial flooring
Strong technical knowledge of multiple flooring systems, including:
Epoxy flooring systems
Urethane and polyaspartic systems
Polished concrete
Other resinous and specialty flooring technologies
Proven experienceleading, training, and developing teamsin the field
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and create a positive work environment
Solid understanding of installation best practices, work orders, and process improvement
Comfortable working in both field and office environments
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Canada
French language skills are an asset
