The roleThis is a 12-month parental leave contract for a hands on HR Business Partner who has generalist experience in tech environments. The role requires someone who can lean on their genuine relationship skills in our medium sized business, is operationally strong, can recruit at pace, and can handle employee relations with confidence and sound judgement. You will be proficient in business partnering and comfortable working with all levels of leadership. Our teams are technical, product led, and innovative.
Alongside generalist HR responsibilities, you will work on AI-driven improvements to the employee lifecycle, workforce planning, engagement uplift, implementation of talent and skills frameworks, and remuneration review. You will work with our modern tech stack, with Hibob as our HRIS, and pro version AI tools that shape how we operate day to day.
You will need:- 5+ years of HR Business Partnering experience, with deep operational strength as well as partnering capability
- Demonstrated experience owning payroll operations with discipline and attention to detail
- Proven experience running full cycle recruitment at pace
- Deep working knowledge of NZ employment law and confident handling of complex employee relations matters
- Experience partnering with technology-led teams and leaders
- Strong analytical capability and the instinct to test ideas against data
- A collaborative working style for a small multi-national team
- Applied skills in AI, automation, and modern HR technology
