Supports the Director of Safety in managing corporate safety programs, ensuring compliance with FAA and OSHA standards for fixed-wing air ambulance operations. Leads the administration of the Safety Management System (SMS), ASAP, and Internal Evaluation Program to foster a proactive safety culture.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in aviation safety and 3 years in Part 135 operations. Candidates must have proven experience in SMS, aviation auditing, and emergency response planning.
The Deputy Director of Safety supports the Director of Safety in the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's corporate safety programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable FAA regulations, OSHA safety and health standards, accreditation standards, and industry best practices while fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
The Deputy Director of Safety serves as a key leader in managing the Safety Management System (SMS), Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Emergency Response Program (ERP), Internal Evaluation Program (IEP), audit processes, and safety risk management activities for fixed-wing air ambulance operations conducted under 14 CFR Parts 135 and 91.
