SUMMARY:
The Receptionistis responsible forcoordinating and scheduling appointments for clients, providing excellent customer service, and collaborating closely with other scheduling staff.The Receptionistwillbe responsible foransweringtelephones, schedulingclient services, performinginsurance verification,confirmingandreschedulingclient appointments, greetingandassistingclient duringcheck-in,andobtainingclient documentation.
Duties andResponsibilities
Welcomesandgreetsall clients as they arriveandnotifiesproviders of client arrival.
Checks client infor appointmentand scans all client-completed paperwork/updatesto the electronic health record.
Verifiesclient insurance and collectingco-pay during time of arrivaland when scheduling via phone.
Schedules new clients for intake appointments;provides explanation toclientof what to bring,what to expect at first appointment, and collects payment/insurance information.
Orientsclient to the space and providing company informationsuch aspatient rights information, privacy information,and other required notifications.
Answers all incoming calls in an efficient, pleasantand professionalmannerand answer inquiries related to appointments, services, and general information.
Confirms client’s appointment and information to update systems to reflect any changes such as phone number, address, insurance, and other pertinent file information.
Schedules client’s return appointment and checks client out at end of visitand send client satisfaction survey after visit.
Works with clientsto address concerns promptly and professionally. Also, work with client andbilling to resolve any client insurance issues thatimpactsclient’s ability to receive treatment.
Assistsingatheringclient information toassistbillingdepartmentin the event ofa coding denial.
Maintains professionalrelationshipwith clients and vendorsas the face of Anew Behavioral Health for the client’s care experiences.
Maintains medical recordsand correspondence filesby recording cancellations, rescheduling, and appointments.
Managescorrespondence delivered toworksite.
Attends all required company education seminars/trainings andparticipatesin team/company meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

The Receptionistdoes not supervise.
Supervision Received:
The Receptionistreports totheOperations Manager/Assigned Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Receptionistmust have excellentinterpersonalskills (verbal and written), organizational skills,proficiencyin MSOfficeand ability toutilizeonline EHR platforms.The Receptionist must also understand and follow HIPAA compliance.
Education:
A High school diploma with experience noted below isrequired. Anassociate’sdegree in a Healthcare related field is preferred.

None Required
Experience/Skills:
Prior experience in appointment scheduling, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
Physical Effort:
Requires sittingforlong periodsof time, viewing computer monitors,andkeyboardingand must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Background:
Must pass allFederal andState background checks. Other background checks will be conducted for licensures and certifications according to company policy.
Schedule:
Full-Time,Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
