Job DetailsJob Location: Tennessee - Manchester, TN 37355Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is to support production and quality through repairs that require mechanical modifications and improving production equipment to avoid future issues. Maintenance improves production equipment to allow for better production efficiency. Technicians support the department in all areas of mechanical and robotic issues and complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
Job Duties
• Perform all scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot and safely repair all mechanical and robotic issues with production equipment efficiently.
• Document data and information in all required forms.
• Work with the Quality department to root-cause and countermeasure current issues.
• Assist with development and implement countermeasures for reported quality and safety issues.
• Work with others including Coordinators, Auditors, and Assistants to communicate between shifts.
• Able to follow instructions, communicate, and work effectively with new hires, peers, Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Supervisors.
• Perform general facilities maintenance tasks/ projects assigned by Maintenance Team Lead or Management.
• Assist Quality, Leadership/Management, and Production when required.
• Ensure quality products are being made, following non-conforming product procedure.
• Assist with inventory control of mechanical parts/tools.
• Assist Electrician Maintenance Technician as needed.
• Understand, follow, support, and enforce company non-conformance, OSHA, safety, 5S methodology, and quality policy protocols.
• Perform any extra or added tasks given by Management.
• Work with personnel to review consistency while monitoring scrap to determine trends and improvements.
• Follow and ensure the proper tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) are being utilized.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Good communication skills, self-motivated and schedule oriented.
• Ability to work independently and work well in a close team environment.
• Strong understanding of tube/wire bending equipment
• Aid in problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude. Arc and Resistance welding knowledge.
• Previous experience with Motoman preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no notice. Travel with the requirement of overnight or International as needed.
