The Senior Cost Accountant will manage inventory accounting, perform month-end close activities, and conduct variance analysis within a manufacturing environment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy, maintain SOX controls, and support operational metrics.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and strong knowledge of general ledger accounting are required.
The Senior Accountant will focus on all aspects of Inventory Accounting and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis. This position will play an integral role in manufacturing variances, E&O inventory, LCM calculations, flux analysis, journal entries, and SOX controls. The role will interact with management and internal/external auditors and will play a key role in month-end close activities, close procedures and audit requests. The position will also be involved in recurring and ad hoc analysis and requests. This role requires close collaboration with Operations, Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and support effective inventory management.
