AMES Copper Group process is considered a secondary copper refinery. Secondary sources include scrap generated internally, scrap from metal fabricators, and scrap from consumer products. We transform scrap copper into copper anodes with over 99.7% pure copper, reducing scrap waste and playing a major role in the greening of our environment.
We are looking to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Operator in Shelby, NC. We are looking for employees to operate a various list of equipment in efforts to receive inbound trucks and stage material for future charges. Job Requirements
• Follow established safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment. • Receive and unload freight with sit-down forklifts, bobcat skid-steers, grappler style cranes and articulating front end loaders. • Record data and maintain receiving logs. • Weigh inbound and outbound materials using scales. • Visual copper inspections upon receipt to determine disposition. • Perform any other tasks as directed by the supervisor such baling, preparing for charges, cycle counting, and gather slag for shipments. • Housekeeping and organizational skills are required. • Responsible for carrying out proper procedures and taking accountability for your work. • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
