Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Marketing | Full-Time | Salaried | Remote
Why Join Us?
Americase is a fast-growing, multi-brand organization built around technical, highly regulated industries — from lithium-ion fire containment to dangerous goods compliance and independent testing services. This role is the start of a career, not just a job. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is intentionally designed to expand in scope and responsibility as you grow, with a clear path toward more senior sales and qualification positions. You will work closely with a tight-knit team of specialists and business development managers who are invested in your development, learning a business that touches real safety and compliance standards used across multiple industries. If you want a role where your responsibilities grow as quickly as you do, this is it.
About the Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is the first point of contact for inbound inquiries at Americase. The SDR fields incoming calls and messages, works the customer database, qualifies sales leads against defined criteria, and routes each qualified opportunity to the correct salesperson or specialist. The role sits at the top of the sales funnel, ahead of the business development representatives and account executives who conduct in-depth qualification and close deals, and success is measured on speed, accuracy of routing, and the quality of the prospect pipeline handed off.
Several affiliated brands sit under one parent organization, and inbound contacts flow into the parent brand before being routed down to the correct entity and customer database. The SDR is the personalized point of contact who makes that routing work — quickly identifying which brand and which product or service line an inquiry belongs to, connecting the lead to the right specialist, and entering the contact information into the customer database for proper distribution. This role begins with inbound inquiry handling and, over time, extends first-line qualification into additional affiliated service lines that do not yet have a dedicated intake function. This is a fully remote, full-time position with meaningful room to grow as you ramp and the portfolio expands.
What You Will Do
- Inbound Handling & Routing: Serve as the first point of contact for inbound calls and messages, responding promptly and professionally; direct each inquiry to the appropriate team member or resource. Navigate a multi-brand phone system where calls enter the parent brand and route down into the correct entity and customer database, rapidly identifying which brand and product or service silo an inquiry belongs to and handing off to the correct salesperson or business development manager. Learn to capture just enough information to route accurately without conducting the full qualification, which is the closing team's job, and monitor website form-fill submissions and the intake email inbox as additional inbound channels.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound leads against agreed criteria to determine the correct fit before advancing them. Ask structured questions and use scripts, adjusting them over time based on what does and does not convert, and apply an “if this, then that” routing framework built from the company's training documentation and its recurring inbound-call scenarios. Grow into first-line qualification for additional affiliated service lines that currently have no qualification step, setting the process up correctly from the start, and know when a technical question exceeds first-line scope so it can be escalated to the relevant specialist or expert rather than guessed at.
- Customer Database & CRM Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of every contact, inquiry, and disposition in the system of record. Track qualification metrics — volume, qualification rate, and disqualification reasons — to support reporting, and keep the customer databases current and correctly attributed by brand, entering and updating records on the fly during and after calls. Bring disciplined data hygiene to a growing, multi-entity CRM environment.
- Systems & Self-Service Support: Support the tools and channels that capture and route inbound demand. Help cover and improve the website chatbot across the multi-brand site, including programming FAQs so secondary brands no longer dead-end without a live operator, and contribute to refining call scripts, routing logic, and phone-system configuration as the portfolio and its routing playbook mature.
- Learning & Growth: Ramp up performance expectations through structured training and hands-on experience, developing enough product and process literacy to qualify customers and route them confidently. Onboarding combines existing training documentation with learning-by-doing, across a set of recurring call scenarios, supported by a close-knit team of specialists and business development managers who answer questions in real time. Because the enterprise is growing quickly, the role is designed to keep expanding in responsibility: mastering intake first, then adding qualification for additional affiliated lines, chatbot/FAQ programming, and CRM configuration over time.
What You Bring
Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience in a phone-based, customer-facing, sales, lead-qualification, or recruitment role, with a track record of high-volume calling, structured qualification, and disciplined follow-up. Comfort making and taking a high volume of inbound calls each day is expected; structured training is provided across a set of recurring call scenarios. Hands-on experience keeping structured data current — spreadsheets, databases, or a CRM is important given the daily data-hygiene demands of the role. This is a training role, intended to develop the person and prepare them for promotion into more senior sales and qualification responsibilities.
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Analytics, Sciences, Statistics or equivalent technical training, experience, or certification in related fields.
