Where You Will Work:
The Pediatric Med/Surg Float Team provides supplemental staffing across Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC and occasionally Atrium Health Cabarrus Levine Children's Jeff Gordon Children's Center in Concord, NC. RN's primarily support the general pediatric medical surgical units, but have the ability to cross-train in specialty areas within Levine Children's Hospital i.e., Children's ED, CVICU, PICU, Neonatal, Progressive, and obtain Chemo certification.
Opportunities for cross-training into specialty area are available based on department needs, individual performance, and seniority. Cross-training is typically considered after at least one year of experience in the role with a primary focus on medical-surgical nursing.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
At least one year of pediatric in-patient RN experience is preferred.

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high acuity patients as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric specialties. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a newly expanded 24 bed PICU and 20 bed Cardiac ICU, an 85-bed Level IV NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Children’s Hospital is also Charlotte’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. LCH has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 18 consecutive years and is nationally ranked in 7 pediatric specialties.
