The Work Control Clerk coordinates maintenance and dispatch functions for USAF vehicles and commodities by scheduling services and tracking performance. They also manage procurement processes, including researching spare parts, preparing purchase requisitions, and maintaining inventory records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of related clerical experience. Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to obtain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance are required.

The Work Control Clerk performs specialized clerical work in coordinating functions for dispatch and maintenance of USAF vehicles, AGE, BEAR Base, and other commodities managed by the Global Prepositioned Materiel Services Program (GPMS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
