The Assistant Head of Service provides operational leadership across regional Residential Family Assessment Centres, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service delivery. They are responsible for line managing Registered Managers, overseeing budgets, and driving continuous improvement to achieve positive outcomes for families.
Candidates must have significant leadership experience within family assessment or social care settings, along with a strong understanding of safeguarding and governance. A Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or a relevant professional qualification in social work or health is highly desirable.

Head of Service, you will play a key role in ensuring our Family Assessment
Centres deliver outstanding services, maintain regulatory compliance and
achieve the best possible outcomes for families.
Your Role as
Assistant Head of Service – Residential Family Assessment Centres
Reporting to the
Head of Service, you will provide operational leadership across Residential
Family Assessment Centres within an allocated region.
You will have
direct line management responsibility for Registered Managers and overall
accountability for regional service performance, including regulatory
compliance, quality assurance, safeguarding, staffing, occupancy and budget
management.
Working closely
with the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive continuous improvement, develop
high-performing teams and ensure all centres operate in line with Progressive
Care's values, policies and high standards of practice.
