The hunting guide is responsible for leading safe and ethical hunting experiences, including checking in participants, conducting safety meetings, and guiding hunts. They must also assist with game retrieval, field dressing, and ensuring compliance with all hunting regulations.
Candidates must hold current First Aid and CPR certifications and possess a clean driving record. The role requires the physical ability to hike in rough terrain and carry over 80 pounds, along with providing personal hunting gear.
This job is primarily dealing with the public. The ranch will host new hunters daily. ALL hunters will be guided by AMB West associates. Workdays will typically begin an hour before legal shooting light and conclude before dark or once all harvested animals have been retrieved. While harvesting elk is a goal of the program, the ultimate priority is to provide a safe, enjoyable and ethical hunting experience to all participants regardless of harvest success.
This is a 5-day a week position October 24th through December 6th.
