Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Lexington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will reflect our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor customer and team member activity, report suspicious behavior, and support asset protection efforts through visible presence and timely notification of security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing activities, and/or directed post orders while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
