Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support site personnel with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support compliance with post orders related to restricted areas, deliveries, and after-hours access.
• Support security-related operations by reporting hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations, while maintaining a visible presence and following Allied Universal standards and site instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
