Responsibilities

Responsible for the maintenance of grounds, buildings, and equipment across multiple agency locations to ensure health and safety. Tasks include landscaping, snow removal, general labor, and following infection control and safety regulations.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a clean driving record with 2+ years of experience, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds. Preference is given to candidates with 2 years of maintenance experience and knowledge of city, fire, and electrical codes.

AIM is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our mission-driven organization. Our growing team is offering a full benefits package that includes:

Flexible Schedule

Position Snapshot: This team player is responsible for maintenance of the grounds, buildings and equipment in multiple agency locations. They are demonstrating quality work to ensure the health and safety of all whom utilize AIM properties.

Essential Functions:
•    Performs typical maintenance to support multi agency locations.
•    Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
•    Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
•    Maintains outside grounds including, parking lot, lawn equipment, clean gutters, landscape, snow removal and salt walks as needed, etc.
•    Laborer work as needed. Demo and clean up at sites based on needs.
•    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Demonstrated Skills:
•    Employee must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc).
•    The employee must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
•    Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received.
•    Must have an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn new knowledge/skills.
•    Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds, and to spend long periods of time walking/standing/bending over.
•    Must be able to organize and use time appropriately to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Additional Qualifications:
•    Must be at least 21 years old.
•    High school diploma or GED.
•    Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, writing and computer skills.
•    Preferred to have 2 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
•    Preferred knowledge of basic city codes, basic fire codes, and electrical codes.
•    Preferred to have basic skills/experience in various maintenance-related trades, including, but not limited to, construction and carpentry skills, HVAC, plumbing, painting, electrical system and janitorial.
•    Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

Driving Requirements:
•    Must have 2+ years driving experience with a clean driving record.
•    Company transportation as needed for various tasks.
