Qualifications
We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in a Counseling/Mental Health Related field.
Current license as an ALC or LPC in the State of Alabama is required.
Ability to establish rapport with a multiple disciplinary team and assist patient to work toward recovery and to sustain health.
Experience and credentials for areas served and specialized interventions (adventure-based counseling, play therapy, or sexual offender/victim) highly desired.
Experience on an in-patient psychiatric unit or residential program preferred
Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development of the population served.
Therapist working with sexual behavior program must have certification in sexual behavior.
