VACANCY: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Our member who is in tourism /hospitality
business located in Naivasha, seeks to fill the position of Human Resource
Officer that has arisen in their company. The position reports to the director.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, developing
and implementing sound personnel policies and practices in line with the
labour laws of Kenya
- Coordinate recruitment and selection
processes as per the needs of the company
- Handle employee grievances and
disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy and the Employment
Act.
- Prepare and verify monthly payroll
inputs while ensuring a high level of
confidentiality on the payroll.
- Maintain accurate and up to date
employee records and human resource documentation
- Coordinate annual performance
appraisal processes.
- Liase with the departmental heads to
identify and address and address workforce needs
- Prepare annual leave
plans for all employees on a monthly basis.
- Ensuring that all statutory training and audits are conducted on time.
- Developing
and maintaining an up-to-date personnel database (attendance, gather and record
payroll data like leaves and working hours).
- Ensuring compliance with the local authorities and making sure that
annual licenses are renewed in time.
- Preparation of audit inspections and handling issues relating to
compliance on labour matters
- Enforce workplace compliance on health & safety standards
Desired
Qualifications, skills and experience;
The job holder must possess:
- Degree in Human
Resource Management.
- Experience of at least 3 years relevant
experience in a busy HR Department
- Registered with IHRM
- CHRP(K)- Ongoing
student or Finalist
- Experience in the agriculture, ranching, wildlife conservancy,
hospitality, or tourism sector will be an added advantage
Key Competencies:

best practices.

· High level of integrity and confidentiality.
· Planning, organizational, and report writing
skills.
· Analytical and problem-solving ability.
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and
HR Information Systems.
