Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily activities and community integration. Implement scheduled program activities while ensuring the health, safety, and positive social interaction of all participants.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid NYS driver's license. Prior experience assisting persons with IDD or autism is preferred along with strong communication skills.

We are in need of responsible and reliable people to assist others with intellectual/developmental disabilities in our Community Programs (Day Habilitation, Respite and Community Habilitation) with accessing the supports and resources in their community to help promote independence and increased social skills.
Positions in all programs are available in Nassau County and Western Suffolk County.
Implement activities based on program's scheduled activities
Provide direct support to participants in their daily activities such as self care and community integration
Encourage social interactions and positive behavior
Work with individuals to promote their health and safety in the community
Drive agency vans (Day Habilitation only) and demonstrate safe driving practices
Complete program documentation daily per state and agency guidelines

Flexible evening and weekend schedules available through Respite and Community Habilitation; Day Habilitation hours are Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM only!!.
Salary: Hourly rates start at $18.25/hour
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience assisting persons with IDD/Autism preferred
Excellent communication and written skills
Able to provide Direct Care assistance
Flexibility to work various hours throughout Nassau & Western Suffolk Counties
