The Associate will independently source, evaluate, and execute end-to-end investment processes for tech-driven startups. They will also provide growth support to portfolio companies and contribute to the internal development of the 10x Founders platform.
Candidates need 18-24 months of full-time VC experience and a university degree in a technical or analytical field. Proficiency in English and a strong network within the VC ecosystem are essential.
We are seeking an execution driven, curious and enthusiastic Associate to join our Munich team who can hit the ground running. You will hold real deal responsibility and handle complex, end-to-end investment processes. You will dive deep into tech-driven sectors shaping the future (amongst others, AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Deeptech, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Data Science, Defence, Space). You’ll be out and about, meeting, understanding and assessing founders and their ideas and building the conviction required to back world-class founders.
Independently source, develop and evaluate start-up investment opportunities by engaging with founding teams, industry experts, VCs as well as the 10x Founders community
Expand your and the 10x Founders network to meet and assess founders, build genuine relationships, and discuss their ideas and visions
Take proactive ownership of deals through due diligence, commercial evaluation, and legal structuring as well as end-to-end deal execution
Prepare structured and articulated insights and your opinion to guide our investment decisions
Build deep vertical expertise on markets, trends, and competitive dynamics in various technology areas, while remaining a versatile generalist investor
Partner closely with our portfolio companies to provide structured, hands-on growth support
Help shape the future of 10x Founders by taking over internal projects that advance our firm's platform
Represent 10x Founders publicly at events and conferences
18–24 months of full-time work experience within the venture capital industry (or similar), excluding internships, backed by a track record of sharp judgment
A university degree demonstrating strong technical and analytical capabilities (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Management & Technology, or related fields)
A robust network within the VC ecosystem and a proven track record of independently sourcing high-conviction, high-quality deal flow across diverse geographies and channels
Experience in either evaluating or building technologies related to critical search fields (e.g., AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Deeptech, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Data Science/Engineering, etc.)
A proactive, self-starter attitude paired with the passion to optimize internal fund operations, and actively contribute to building and growing the 10x Founders platform
Ability to structure complex data, document your thinking clearly, and communicate substantiated investment hypotheses fluently in English (German language skills are not required)
Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn, understand new, dynamic and fast-moving developments in technology, digital products and innovation, active networker and passion for people
The ability to communicate with entrepreneurs, technical founders, and VC partners eye-to-eye, particularly on a product, technical, and strategic level
Flexible, friendly, supportive and positive can-do attitude
Work with an excellent, experienced and collaborative high-performance team of serial entrepreneurs and accomplished investors without hierarchies
Lead deal processes end to end in an environment with above-average deal making volume
Actively analyze and build conviction around the newest technologies coming across our desk at fast pace with an experienced investment team and partners
Great autonomy and immediate responsibility to independently pursue and drive internal strategic projects that directly shape the future of 10x Founders
Ability to learn and grow, and build your track record, network and career in the early-stage venture industry, supported by a dedicated Career Advisor and clear development frameworks
Exposure to our internal investment reviews and discussions. You will participate in all Investment Committees (ICs) as a fully integrated, valued voice on the investment team
