How advertised pay is moving.

Quarterly advertised salary midpoints by UTC posting date across current and expired source postings, for the latest eight calendar quarters through today. The current quarter is partial. All selected filters apply. Missing dates are excluded, and quarters with fewer than five salary observations are withheld. This is changing posting composition, not wage growth for a fixed workforce.

The small print, in plain English

Good data shows
its working.

Snapshot: Sep 11, 2026

What we count

The approximate source corpus includes historical listings. This explorer uses unexpired, non-agency postings with a tech-role classification and no elapsed application deadline and a primary listed US or European country. Europe includes the UK and Switzerland. No posting-date cutoff.

What the numbers mean

Annual advertised salary-range midpoints in the selected original currency. Only explicitly yearly records with both bounds ordered and between 10,000 and 1,000,000 contribute. Percentiles use linear interpolation.

Enough data to be useful

We publish salary comparisons from 5 valid ranges. Small samples can still move a lot. Always check the count alongside the number.

A snapshot, with limits

  • Source corpus size is an estimate, not the number of current tech jobs. Filtered job counts and salary sample counts are exact for this query. This is a snapshot of source listings, not a representative market census or salaries paid.
  • Currency changes affect salary statistics only. No currency conversion. Supported salary currencies: USD, EUR, GBP and CHF. Hourly, monthly, unspecified-period, partial and implausible ranges are excluded; equity and bonuses are excluded.
  • Salary statistics and histograms are withheld below five observations. Highest-paying skill and industry rankings require at least 20 salary observations per group and rank by median. Experience groups use source-provided experience bands, not job-title seniority.
  • Each unique source posting counts once in its primary listed country. Reposts and cross-source duplicates may remain. Worldwide or secondary-only locations do not enter regional totals.
  • Tech groups use existing role classifications. Unclassified postings are excluded. Skill options show the 100 most frequent supplied skills; the query returns up to 20 skills by posting count, and comparison cards display up to 10 rows. Remote share counts explicitly fully remote listings divided by all matched jobs.
  • Industry uses the employer LinkedIn industry, not a claim that every employer is a tech company. Cities use the first supplied city for postings whose listed countries all agree; multi-country postings, missing cities and missing industries are excluded from their respective breakdowns. City options show the top 100 by posting count; city and industry queries return up to 30 groups, and comparison cards display up to 10 rows. Detailed roles use the existing source taxonomy.
  • Companies use available LinkedIn organization identifiers, domains or names. Unknown companies are excluded from the company count. Unexpired source records may still represent filled roles; no real-time employer verification is implied.
