I am a product craftsman who loves working at the crossroads of art and engineering. I come with 10 years of experience, including 6 years specializing in building AI products. My current focus area is building generative AI tools for storytelling and media creation. I lead Product at Dashtoon Studio, a generative AI powered comic creation platform. I am responsible for implementing generative AI in the form of intuitive features for comic artists. I also lead the Creative Technologist team where we build frameworks for generating consistent characters, clothing, art styles, and other storytelling essentials. Comics created using Dashtoon Studio can be published for distribution through the Dashtoon iOS and Android mobile apps. I am proficient at creating AI workflows using techniques such as Inpainting, Controlnet, Consistory, IP adapters, LivePortrait and more to achieve the desired creative outcome. I write about my experiences and insights on AI products at https://medium.com/@amogh-vaishampayan I started my journey with diffusion models in the early days of Stable Diffusion by building a small project to create digital stickers of people by fine tuning Stable Diffusion on a user’s photos. Before Dashtooon, I was at Avataar where I was responsible for building a 3D experience creation platform for 3D artists that included flexible 3D workflows, an interactivity engine, a web based renderer, an asset library and integrations with leading e-commerce platforms. This gave me an in-depth understanding of the 3D creative workflow including modeling, texturing and animation. One of my most challenging product problems at Avataar was enabling 3D artists to perfectly match in real time the look and color of textures they created in Adobe Substance Painter with our web based renderer. At Quantiphi I led a team building a computer vision solution for warehouses of a leading retail brand. Using a camera, Nvidia GPU and a touchscreen mounted on forklifts and pallet jacks, we used computer vision to detect products placed on the pallets in real time and raised an alert in case of a mismatch with the actual order. I also worked on iSchoolConnect, Quantiphi's education product for University admissions that used NLP to analyze essays and computer vision to help with interview preparation. My first startup, Paintcollar, was an online marketplace for artists to sell their work through apparel and accessories.
