Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. SUMMARY:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the company.  Assist customers as necessary to ensure their satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for cleaning all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
  • Responsible for spot vacuuming as required.
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking all restrooms.
  • Mopping floors around the bars, restrooms and other areas as needed.
  • Responsible for removing all trash and debris from machines, emptying and cleaning of all ashtrays. Trash and debris to be deposited in the outside dumpster.
  • Use of chemicals for cleaning and personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids.
  • Must be able to interact with guests and provide guest service according to company standards.
  • Must always demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and leadership.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
  • Follow all cleaning, sanitation and PPE position specific guidelines.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing Commission.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Six months related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.

  • Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods of time.

  • Lifting from 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store or move materials, supplies and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee mostly works inside the building. The employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment may be loud in guest areas.  Exposure to unrestricted second-hand smoke.
