This is an engineering position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the controls systems that underpin 365x24x7 manufacturing operations. You will lead the engineering lifecycle for critical facility systems spanning air handling, exhaust, water treatment, drain systems, electrical power monitoring and life safety/hazardous gas monitoring while driving capital and expense projects focused on reliability, technology innovation, cost savings, and obsolescence management. Facilities works closely with TI's manufacturing team to understand how the utility systems impact the process as well as how to reduce consumption.
Responsibilities include:
- Escalation & Expert Troubleshooting: Serving as engineering escalation point for 24/7 operations team including troubleshooting controllers, instrumentation, and controls system issues across critical manufacturing facility systems
- Technical Resource: Providing engineering expertise for controls systems and infrastructure across air handling, exhaust, de-ionized water, cooling/hot/potable water, drain systems, electrical power monitoring, and life safety systems
- Project Management and Leadership: Independently driving controls-scope projects from initiation through completion, including design, engineering, and commissioning, while providing technical leadership on large-scale, multi-discipline projects
- Advanced Documentation: Developing and maintaining controls-related documentation, including Sequence of Operations, P&IDs, I/O lists, and panel/wiring drawings
- Mentorship: Support mentoring through training and developing early career controls engineers and technicians to build technical depth
