About this role
Migration Technical Architect
Company Overview
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Position Overview
Would you like to apply your data migration expertise to complex, international engineering projects while developing your knowledge of Teamcenter and PLM?
We are looking for a Migration Technical Architect in Poland to support customer migration projects across EMEA and the US.
You will take technical ownership of migration solutions, from discovery and architecture through implementation, validation and go-live, working with project teams and customers to move complex engineering data successfully into new environments.
You do not need to arrive as a Teamcenter expert. What matters most is strong practical migration experience and an understanding of how migrations are planned, structured and delivered. Your experience could come from PLM, ERP or another complex enterprise application. Teamcenter and the wider Siemens software portfolio can be developed through onboarding and training.
You will work across varied international customer environments, including both cloud and on-premises landscapes. Projects can involve migrations between PLM platforms, into Teamcenter, and the movement of engineering data from other systems.
This is a full-time role based in Poland. We ideally seek someone within commuting distance of Wrocław, although remote working is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading migration architecture and defining migration strategies, technical approaches and delivery roadmaps.
- Running discovery and technical workshops to understand source systems, data structures and customer requirements.
- Designing data mapping, transformation, validation, integration and migration solutions across complex enterprise environments.
- Selecting and shaping migration tooling, utilities, scripts and automation approaches appropriate to each project.
- Guiding consultants and project teams through migration build, testing, rehearsals, deployment and go-live.
- Providing technical governance while contributing to estimates, proposals, solution outlines, proofs of concept and migration best practices.
Qualifications
- Practical experience delivering data or system migrations in complex enterprise environments.
- A strong understanding of migration planning, data mapping, transformation, validation and migration tooling or automation.
- The ability to understand source and target data structures and translate requirements into a practical migration approach.
- Confidence working directly with customers, facilitating technical discussions and communicating with international stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical guidance through implementation and delivery.
- Good professional English for working with customers and colleagues across different countries.
It would be great if you also bring
- Teamcenter or broader PLM migration experience.
- Experience migrating engineering or CAD-related data.
- Previous migration experience with platforms such as SAP or other ERP or enterprise systems.
- Experience working across both cloud and on-premises customer environments.
