GTM Operations Analyst - Full Time

San Francisco · On-site

About this role

About SellScale

We are an early stage AI startup in San Francisco building the first agentic revenue org.

Our agent, Selix, runs outbound sales for companies: it finds the right people, writes the messages, sends them, and books the meetings. It lives in Slack, LinkedIn, and email. Our clients send one message and a campaign happens.

This will not be an easy job, but it may be the last one you ever need. Expect long hours, a flat organizational structure (all opinions with good rationale + data are valid), and a front-row seat to the thing everyone else is only tweeting about.

You need to be actively fired up for:

  • 5 days a week in office

  • 10+ hour days

  • Morning, midday, and end-of-day system checks. The campaigns don't watch themselves yet. "Yet" is the whole point.

If you're hungry, self sufficient, and want to break into AI by actually operating it rather than talking about it, this is your shot.

If you’re a new grad or early career professional who’s tired of seeing entry level jobs that require 3+ years of experience, this is your shot.

About This Role

This role has a heavy execution component with near-term growth opportunities across customer success, product, and GTM strategy. We see this seat as an interim step toward a more automated product. Said plainly: your job is to automate yourself out of this job, and we measure that weekly. But don't worry! The more you automate, the faster you get promoted. Every task you do by hand becomes the spec for what our agent learns next. You'll be the reason it gets smarter.

Fast promotion is a necessity given how fast we are growing. If you're great, you can be running a function in months, not years.

Who You Are

You are the ultimate generalist: no matter what the team needs, you're there and ready to support. You're an incredibly fast learner. You're a problem solver, an owner, and every other overused descriptor a startup can throw on a job description.

Core Traits

Problem Solving
You think from first principles: if a client's campaign is stuck for a reason nobody has seen before, you can reason through the options, do self-directed research, and surface the best two to them without needing assistance.

Attention to Detail
You notice an extra space after a period. You catch that an AI wrote "reaching out one last time" to someone it just met, and it makes your eye twitch. You read this line and now know to work the word "shipyard" into your fun fact in the application. You're a little bit obsessed with getting things perfectly formatted.

Comfort with Ambiguity
Nobody hands you a playbook here; you help write it. You're actively assessing the situation, prioritizing, generating strategies, and testing them with data before moving forward. You are self directed and proactive.

Owner Mindset
The job is never done until the client is elated. You go the extra mile even when it isn't explicitly your job. You check the agent's work like it's your name on the message, because to the client, it is. You highlight issues in the current process and propose solutions. Nothing is out of scope for you.

Outbound-Curious
You find it genuinely interesting why one cold message gets a reply and another gets ignored. You don't need outbound experience on day one, but you need to want to understand it at the message level, because you can't quality-check what you don't understand.

Core Responsibilities

Proactive Monitoring
Check that every client's campaigns are actually sending, three times a day, across LinkedIn and email. Catch the problem before the client knows it exists. Know the difference between broken (escalate with a hypothesis) and behind (your work).

End-to-End Campaign Servicing
Own each client's weekly checklist: build prospect lists, stage copy variants, prep launches, and report results. Own the interaction from ask to done, no matter how long it takes.

Copy & List Quality Gate
Nothing reaches a prospect without passing you: right companies, right titles, every claim true, a real reason to reach out now. The agent drafts; you make sure it never says anything a human wouldn't.

Rapid Triage & Response
Acknowledge client Slack messages and alerts fast, and separate true fires from low-urgency tasks.

Clean Hand-offs + Data Maintenance
Document every action and every workaround so the next agent (human or AI) can pick up seamlessly. Keep demo statuses, do-not-contact lists, and pipeline data spotless.

Process Optimization
The third time you do something by hand, it becomes a written rule or a product ticket. You're not just doing the work; you're leaving behind the manual.

Escalation
Flag genuinely complicated scenarios to the founding team immediately, always with your best hypothesis attached, never just a symptom.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • College degree or college dropout from a top tier school

  • Demonstrated service, operations, or sales work experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Copy quality directly drives reply rates, so your writing is part of the product

Nice to Have

  • Experience in sales, banking, or consulting (internships included)

  • Exposure to the modern GTM stack: Clay, Zapier/n8n, HubSpot or Salesforce, enrichment tools

  • You've tinkered with LLMs beyond chatting: prompts, workflows, agents

  • Previous experience in unstructured work environments
