Founding Growth
About this role
Growth Intern (Summer 2026)
Location: San Francisco, CA (In-Person, 5 days/week)
Description
“The company story is the company strategy - Ben Horowitz”
As a Growth Intern, you’re going to help spread the gospel about Selix, our Agent helping companies run their outbound sales end to end.
You’ll be jumping into all areas of growth:
Product Marketing - create assets and decks for post-sales and more
Social Media - building the narrative around what we’re building and how we’re different (we are the AI SDR killer)
Events - putting up events for the team and others to come
Website - sprucing up pages on our website with the help of our designer to tell our story
SEO / AEO - writing relevant articles on new insights we have on the space
Top of funnel - making marketing assets that can be useful for teams
Videos - making quick-cut videos we can use to post online for
The bottom line: take care of top of funnel activities.
Think "Scrappy startup PMM" than "big company content marketer.”
Requirements
Able to come into our San Francisco office at least 3 days a week
Prior experience in product marketing, content creation, video editing, and more in a fast-paced startup environment (can be your own business, for another startup, etc.)
Comfortable with steep learning curves, and wearing multiple hats
Strong interest in agentic AI / technology
Familiarity with tools like Notion, Excalidraw, and Zapier, HubSpot, and the marketing stack is a plus
3 reasons why you should apply
1️⃣ Career Growth (personal) - Lots of learning + relevant experience in a startup. Our last year’s summer intern got an offer to McKinsey after.
2️⃣ Agentic AI knowledge - Agents are the next industrial revolution. You’ll learn a lot about how they work by marketing for them.
3️⃣ Fun team - It’s the middle of the world cup and tech happening in the summer of SF - it will be a blast!
Job interview
Quick 15 minute call with founder
Choose a marketing deliverable to submit of your choice (suggestions provided)
Final round interview to talk through deliverable + team (30 min)
Values
No matter what you know about Growth - every time member operates within these values:
The Wizard of Oz - do something manually before automating it.
Manually close one billboard in SF or edit a video yourself.
The Shipyard - our unit of work at Lix. Everything has a “deliverable” - no theorizing.
Someone who can write a landing page, set up a HubSpot flow, cut a video, AND think strategically about positioning - not someone who just writes briefs for agencies.
Hackathon mentality - get a lot done in a little time, like a hackathon
Build an entire Q3 marketing strategy in a single Saturday afternoon.
Disinfect with sunlight - we know the first step to solving a problem is putting sunlight on the issue.
Create a dashboard of our engagement and make goal-line of where to get to.
We love schlep - We love the small, annoying problems.
Edit a specific part of the video until it’s just-right.
Delta force - A unit of A players beats an army of B-players
Be the best at your craft.
Beat the starting pistol - Don’t wait for formality, completeness, or perfection to begin. This value is about the inputs, not the outputs
We have a big launch video. Make the v1 in 2 hours.
Feedback is a gift - We take feedback seriously - and no feedback is too harsh for us to learn something from.
How do you learn from feedback?
