Position Summary:

We are looking for the first person to join this newly formed part of our London team. This individual will support the technical claims processing across our broking team and help to shape the function moving forward.

What will your job entail?

Responsibilities which will evolve over time include:

  • Manage and maintain Claims daily
  • Review, reconcile and process new claims notifications, claim updates and invoices as well as monthly bordereau for various Coverholders and TPA’s
    • Ensure all claims are attributable to the correct parties and year of account
    • Review, reconcile and maintain all reserves and fees accordingly
    • Communicate with Coverholders and TPA’s to verify and obtain information where necessary
    • Claims management and communications to all non-bureau markets
  • Claims management, maintenance and processing to Lloyd’s of London and Company Markets, through CLASS or Brokasure via Velonetic/XIS systems
  • File, manage and maintain all documentation and data entry necessary
  • To play an active role and to undertake other reasonable duties if required, to ensure the department operates efficiently

Skills and Attributes:

  • Good mathematic and administrative skills & strong spreadsheet skills with excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Motivational skills, team player as well as working on own initiative
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
  • General insurance claims experience between 2-5 years, ideally within a London market broking house and knowledge of the London Market procedures
  • Knowledge of Xchanging applications is favorable
