POSITION SUMMARY

The File & Automation Manager leads an Agile tech team, including Business Analysts and Data Engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation to optimize data integration processes. This role oversees and manages the team that maintains data integration with clients and healthcare vendors. The leader works closely with the Product and Project Management team to maximize throughput. The Manager interacts closely with third parties to coordinate file specifications and delivery. Additionally, the File and Automation Manager ensures the smooth and efficient operation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and keeps open dialogue with business partners to resolve issues.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

 

EDI System Management:

  • Oversee EDI systems and solutions setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of EDI transactions and processes.


Data Integration:

  • Manage data integration projects with clients and healthcare vendors, ensuring timely and accurate data exchanges.
  • Coordinate and delegate Integration project backlog with the team.
  • Monitor data flow and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Migrate on-premises integrations to the cloud (Azure).


Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the File & Automation team.
  • Assign tasks, manage workloads, and evaluate team performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Partner with leadership to develop growth tracks for team members.


Client and Vendor Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI-related inquiries and escalations from clients and vendors.
  • Collaborate with clients and vendors to understand their integration needs and partner with team to provide tailored solutions.


Collaboration:

  • Align and coordinate with the Product and Project Management teams in an Agile Process.
  • Foster Agile best practices with the Scrum Master.

 

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure all EDI processes comply with industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data during transmission and storage.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Discover learning opportunities for incorporation into the team and business knowledgebases.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Implement qualified team suggestions for continued process improvement.
  • Educate business partners at sister companies on best practices when working with IT.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management, data integration, or a related role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience or knowledge of SQL Server (Oracle) database management, writing queries, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factories and cloud computing preferred.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external Vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with EDI software and tools.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish are highly preferred.
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours when urgent EDI issues arise or to perform system maintenance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
