Manager, Commercial Finance

Join Mirvac’s Commercial Finance team and play a key role in driving the performance of a dedicated property portfolio.

As Manager, Commercial Finance – Portfolio Performance, you will partner closely with Portfolio Managers to provide commercial insight, robust analysis and forward-looking advice across asset strategy, leasing, capital allocation, valuations and portfolio performance.

This is an opportunity to influence important portfolio decisions, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and translate complex financial information into clear, practical recommendations.

Your responsibilities will include

• Partnering with Portfolio Managers to drive asset and portfolio performance
• Providing commercial, financial and scenario analysis to support leasing, capital, valuation and investment decisions
• Preparing business cases, investment recommendations, strategy papers and deal approvals
• Developing asset budgets, forecasts, cash flow models and long-term plans
• Undertaking IRR calculations, variance analysis and sensitivity modelling
• Identifying performance drivers, risks, opportunities and corrective actions
• Supporting external valuations and ensuring key portfolio assumptions are accurate
• Assisting with property acquisitions, divestments and associated due diligence
• Improving the quality and integrity of tenancy, lease, deal and asset data
• Supporting process improvement, automation and the adoption of AI-enabled tools
• Collaborating with Portfolio Managers, Valuations, Insights, Platform and Finance teams
• Coaching and supporting new Finance team members

What you’ll bring

You are commercially minded, highly analytical and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders. You can simplify complex information, identify what matters and use evidence and insight to influence decision-making. 

• A degree in finance, property, commerce, economics, accounting, business or a related discipline
• More than five years’ experience across asset management, property, investments, commercial analysis, corporate finance or a related field
• Demonstrated experience translating financial analysis into practical commercial recommendations
• Strong knowledge of asset performance, leasing, capital, valuations and portfolio strategy
• Experience partnering with portfolio, asset, investment, valuation or finance teams
• Advanced Excel capability and experience developing and maintaining financial models
• Strong communication, relationship management and influencing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality and timely delivery
