The Opportunity

The Investment Back Office Specialist will help us with accurate recording, valuation, reconciliation and reporting of pension fund transactions, including NAV calculation, settlement with the custodian and banks, and regulatory reporting, across Romania. This is an exciting opportunity to work end to end on pension fund investment operations, from trade capture to NAV, in direct contact with the custodian, banks, and the Investment and Payments teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Record pension fund transactions and import prices and exchange rates in Equitas.
- Perform asset valuation, bank account reconciliations and month-end close activities, supporting NAV calculation.
- Prepare fund and asset reports, and upload regulatory reports to the ASF portal and the company website in line with legislation.
- Coordinate daily with the custodian and banks, sending settlement instructions and executing treasury operations in Multicash.
- Support the Investment and Payments teams, and maintain procedures and contribute to process-improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in economics, preferably Accounting (ASE Bucharest or equivalent).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in MS Office, intermediate English, and working knowledge of Equitas and Multicash.
- Well organised, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Able to use approved AI tools to support analysis, reconciliation and documentation, and to review the output critically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pension fund, asset management or custody operations.
- Knowledge of ASF reporting requirements and NAV/VUAN validation.
- Experience automating or improving reporting and reconciliation processes.
The expected salary range for this position is 102900 - 137200. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
